Benedict XVI lhas arrived in the West African nation of Benin on Friday 18th of November on a three day Apostolic journey .
As he makes his second trip as Pope to this continent to sign and present a document intended to shape the future there we speak to one of his closest advisors . One who’ll be accompanying him on this journey, Nigerian Francis Arinze, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments ..
We asked the Cardinal about this document to be presented in Benin which comes out of the 2009 Second Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for Africa which focused on “the Church in Africa in service to reconciliation, justice and peace”.
In this interview Cardinal Arinze is also asked about the distribution and implementation of this document known as the Post- Synodal Exhortation. Although he begins by speaking to us of his role within the papal entourage .
