Canada: manhunt for shooting suspect

(Vatican Radio) Royal Canadian Mounted Police in New Brunswick confirm that three officers were shot and killed and two other officers were wounded when a heavily armed man went on a shooting spree in the town of Moncton.

A manhunt is underway for the suspect in the shooting, a 24 year-old man named Justin Bourque, whom the RCMP say was last seen in a wood near a residential area.

The RCMP also said asked the public not to disclose information concerning the police operation. They gave no details regarding possible motives for the shooting, nor regarding a timetable for the subject’s apprehension.
