‘Vatican Weekend’ August 9, 2014: spirituality and culture

(Vatican Radio)  ‘Vatican Weekend’ for August 9, 2014 features a half hour broadcast in which Veronica Scarisbrick looks ahead to the Feast of the Assumption on a  musical note with Monsignor Philip Whitmore. On another artistic note she then shares with you an example of Christian art in a Church atop the Spanish steps signed Daniele da Volterra and follows with a conversation with Dominican preacher Father Timothy Radcliffe. The programme ends with a virtual tour to a place linked in a special way to two English poets, Keat and Shelley for the series 'Terribly English: that's why they came to Rome'.
