When Paul VI spoke of Nazareth as a model of family life

(Vatican Radio) As our popular 'Latin Lover' Father Reginald Foster turns 75 , Veronica Scarisbrick shares with listeners an address by Paul VI this Carmelite deeply cares about. As we know this twentieth century pope is to be beatified during the closing mass of the Extraordinary Assembly of the Synod of bishops currently taking place in the Vatican. And the theme of this address, Father Foster so loves, is connected to the focus of this Synod: the family.

Listen to our popular 'Latin Lover', Carmelite Father Reginald Foster in a programme presented and produced by Veronica Scarisbrick:

So stepping back in time, the date was January 5, 1964, the place the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth,  speaking in French this first pilgrim pope spoke of  Nazareth as a model of what the family should be, a community of love and sharing, the perfect place for raising children.

In this programme an emotional Father Reginald Foster tells us, often in Latin, how  Paul VI highlighted  how the lessons we learn from family life are invaluable, and how the family plays a key role at a social level.
