Pope Francis on Lent 2015
Lent is a 40-day period of prayer, fasting, abstinence and good works by Christians, in preparation for their annual commemoration of the passion and death of Jesus culminating in His Resurrection or Easter, the greatest feast of Christianity. This year’s Lenten season began with Ash Wednesday on Feb. 18 and will end on Holy Saturday, the eve of April 5, Easter Sunday. In our programme today, we bring you the reflection of Pope Francis for Ash Wednesday as well as his Lenten message for 2015, which has as its theme, "Make your hearts firm."
