Kenya celebrates election of Pope Francis
(Vatican Radio) In Kenya, the Apostolic Nunciature has hosted a celebration of the second anniversary of the election of Pope Francis to the See of Peter.
The event took place at the residence of the Nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan, Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo. Also present at the event were leaders of the local Church, including the Archbishop of Nairobi, Cardinal John Njue; as well as other religious and civic leaders, including Senator Beatrice Esachi as the representative of the Kenyan government.
