(Vatican Radio) As the Church prepares to celebrate the upcoming Jubilee of Mercy which begins on December 8th this year, Vatican Radio will be taking an in-depth look at the seven spiritual and seven corporal works of mercy which Pope Francis himself has urged Catholics to learn.

Over the next 15 programmes Monsignor John Kennedy, an Official at the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith will guide us through these works and look at how they impact on our lives today.

In this first episode  we will explore the virtue of Mercy, what the Holy Year means and ask how well do we know these corporal and spiritual works?
