Bishop Raymond Mpezele urges faithful towards charity

The Catholic Bishop of Livingstone in Zambia, Raymond Mpezele has called upon the faithful of the diocese to be inspired by God in their works of charity in order to make other people’s lives especially the less privileged in the society better.

Speaking during the Golden Jubilee celebration of Maria Regina, Linda parish in his diocese on Saturday, 22 August, 2015 Bishop Mpezele said it was a duty of everyone to ensure that lives of those deprived in society are made better.

“God can use anyone among us or outside to bring development to people’s lives. So I encourage every one of us here to allow God to use us in order to make other people’s live better. Let’s keep up the spirit of charity and cooperation,” Bishop Mpezele said.

Speaking at the same function Zambia’s Agriculture and Livestock Minister Given Lubinda who represented the Zambian Government, said the gathering of people in numbers to celebrate the Parish’s 50 years signified how Zambians are united with Jesus Christ.

He further acknowledged the immense contribution of the Catholic Church in the country on developmental issues.
