U.S. high school student: Why I like Pope Francis

(Vatican Radio) George Seyfried, a student at a Jesuit high school in Connecticut in the U.S., said one of the reasons why he likes Pope Francis is because he won’t tell anybody to do something that he himself is not willing to do. George also pointed to the Pope’s decision to welcome homeless people to the Vatican and his gesture when he washed the feet of prisoners, describing this as sending a “very powerful” message and a sign of his humility and respect for everyone.

A second year or sophomore student at Fairfield College Preparatory School, George also described how he is running a blog on Pope’s Francis’ upcoming visit to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families:  fp2philly4francis.weebly.com

George will be among a group of students from his high school that are making a pilgrimage to Philadelphia to meet other Jesuit students from across the nation and to hear Pope Francis speak at the event. He was interviewed by Vatican Radio's Chris Altieri.
