Vatican Weekend for October 10, 2015

(Vatican Radio) Vatican Weekend for October 10, 2015 features a report on the weekly general audience of Pope Francis in St Peter’s Square. This is followed by interviews with Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington in the United States and Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster in England relating to the XIV Ordinary General  Assembly of the Synod of Bishops currently underway in the Vatican. In the second part of the programme our popular ‘Latin Lover’ shines the spotlight on the complex architectural lay- out of the façade of Saint  Peter’s Basilica. And as Sunday marks the day the Church remembers Saint John XXIII  we bring you echoes of the pontificate of this twentieth century pope who so captured people’s hearts and imaginations.
