Putting Mercy to Work: To forgive offences willingly

(Vatican Radio) In this week’s edition of “Putting Mercy to Work”, Vatican Radio’s programme on the seven spiritual and seven corporal works of mercy, we focus on the fifth spiritual work, “To forgive offences willingly”.

Monsignor John Kennedy, an Official at the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, looks at how forgiving others is a necessary part of discipleship and how we should follow the example of Jesus when he said, we should forgive offences “not seven times but seventy times seven.”
