Msgr Viganò: communicating mercy essence of Church mission
(Vatican Radio) The Prefect of the recently created Secretariat for Communications at the Vatican, Msgr. Dario Edoardo Viganò, has written a commentary on Pope Francis’ Message for the 50th World Communications Day, which is published on intermirifica.net – the website of the Global Catholic Media Network, which has a specially dedicated web space packed with resources for the annual recurrence.
Focused on communication as a sacred trust and a Gospel duty, the commentary, titled, “Called to remove our sandals” recalls the episode in the Book of Exodus (3:5) in which God speaks to Moses to tell him that he is on holy ground – i.e. in God’s very presence, as God speaks to him.
