As the city of Syrian city of Raqqa is recaptured from so-called Islamic State militants, the International charity 'Save the Children' is warning that the humanitarian crisis in the  northeast  of the country is rapidly escalating.

An aid agency is warning that the number of children suffering from life-threatening malnutrition across Africa’s Lake Chad Basin has soared since last year and could spiral further, as Boko Haram terrorists ramp up attacks in the region.
