Pope Francis has asked for prayers for the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti  and said he is “confident in the sense of solidarity of the international community, of Catholic institutions and people of good will” in bringing relief. One such organization is Malteser International.

Calm has continued across much of Syria Wednesay following a Russian and US brokered ceasefire, although a number of violations were reported since it took hold. Fr Ibrahim is the Parish priest in Aleppo and spoke about the ceasefire and desperate situation the people are facing there.
