Pope Francis has donated 50,000 Euro in aid for victims of the 12 June earthquake on the Greek island of Lesbos, according to the Apostolic Nunciature of Greece

At Wednesday’s General Audience, the founder of a volunteer rescue team presented Pope Francis with the life jacket of a 6 year old girl who drowned together with her family as they tried to reach safety on the Greek island of Lesbos.
