Pope Francis on Sunday celebrated the feast of the Ascension of Jesus to heaven, celebrated forty days after Easter. Addressing those present in St. Peter’s Square for the Regina Caeli prayer, the Pope reflected on how all Christians are entrusted with spreading God's love and tenderness.

On the second day running, Pope Francis has expressed his solidarity with Egypt's Coptic Christians following an attack on a bus carrying Coptic pilgrims to a monastery. His words came as he addressed thousands of pilgrims in the Regina Caeli prayer in St. Peter’s Square on Sunday.
